To make learning more vivid and meaningful

Kid’s Comments!:

A recent visit to the Hannah Lindahl Children’s Museum by Mrs. Hoke’s third grade class from Hums Elementary School in Mishawaka, IN resulted in these Kid’s Comments.

From Jessica:  I really liked it when we saw the dollhouse. I liked it when David (Mr. Guske) donated it.

From Michael:  I learned that the Potawatomi tribal colors are red, yellow, and orange. I know that red and yellow make orange.

From Miranda:  I really like the dollhouse because it looks very nice shining in the lights.

From Taylor:  I learned that Alansan Hurd was the founding father of Mishawaka.  Our class had a good time. I really liked the old school because I had never seen something like that.

From Alex:  I really like the part when you showed me how to write with feathers.

From Kaitlyn:  I really liked the touch table with the sea creatures and the eagle. I also liked when you talked about the mastodon and the woolly mammoth and showed us their teeth.

From Vanessa:  I really liked the school room and flat ruler plus the bucket of water you drink out of. It was cool.

From Corey:  I really liked looking at the star fish.

From Ryan:  I really liked how you told us about the Red Ball factory.  My favorite footwear was the Red Ball Jets.  The boots were cool too.

From Alexis:  I really liked the old school. The dunce hat was simply divine and funny too.  I also loved the pens they were cute.

From Allyssa:  My favorite part was the school.  I also enjoyed the Japanese tea room.  I enjoyed the whole museum. It was cool.

From Rachel:  I really liked the touch tables.  Some of the stuff was interesting like the rabbit fur and all the different rocks. I had a great time.

From Madi:  Thank you for showing me around the museum.  I hope we can come again next year.

FromTrevor:  I wish I lived when the mammoth was alive.  I really like the touch tables.

From Johnathan:  I really liked the Japanese room. It was really fun.

From Brandon:  I really like the touch table.  I thought seeing inside a turtle shell was cool. I can’t believe I touched a mammoth bone.  I am going to clone a mammoth so you can see what they looked like.

From Corey:  I really liked the old classroom.  I wish I lived back then because I would really want to be taught in that room.
